Winter Weather Update

Hello Fairbairn families,

Our school administration would like to share the following winter weather reminders:

• Encourage kids to dress appropriately for the colder weather.
• The division inclement weather threshold is -20 degrees. When the weather is colder than -20, students will not be going outside at lunch and must remain indoors.
• On inclement weather days, Grade Level doors will be open at 8:30 am, and teachers will allow students into the school building early.
• Just a reminder not to park directly in front of our school in the designated bus zone. Our seven yellow busses require additional space to safely pull in and depart from our school.
• Please encourage kids to utilize the cross walk on either side of the bus zone. We do not want students darting out into traffic in between busses. 
• Drivers please be extra cautious when driving through our school zone.

Please note all of these measures are put into place to further provide a safe environment for our staff and students.
