Deryk Hamilton

Hello!  My name is Deryk Hamilton and I have the privilege of being part of an amazing team and school community at Senator Joyce Fairbairn.  After University many moons ago, I began my career in Grande Prairie teaching math, science and physical education at the junior high and high school level. After 14 years up north, my family moved to Lethbridge in 2009 where I spent several years as a teacher and administrator with Palliser School Division.  

Teaching is my passion, but I also love to travel the world and explore the great outdoors.  We may live in the digital era, but to me, a whole new world of understanding and compassion can be found in our relationships with people and our connections with nature.   When I'm not dreaming about my next travel adventure locally or abroad, I love to coach, exercise or tinker on a woodworking or mechanical project. 

I am grateful each day to have the opportunity to share my enthusiasm and passion for learning and look forward to another fabulous year ahead!
